He is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Fitness & Nutrition Trainer and an expert in functional biomechanics, personal training, coaching, boxing conditioning and boxing technique.
Matty has over 11 years experience teaching premium boxing fitness classes at world-class boxing gyms & training fighters, while also having been a trainee himself for several amateur boxing & MMA fights. Working under some of the best coaches in the boxing and MMA industry, he has obtained a rep for his patience with beginners, along with his dynamic training approach. He takes the time to understand how you learn and shows the patience that you might not always find in a typical boxing gym.
His one-on-one coaching style comes down to cutting out the noise and getting back to the essential elements of boxing. He believes boxing is the absolute foundation to becoming a great mixed martial artist and that starts with perfecting those key, fundamental boxing skills in his 1:1 virtual training sessions.

Walker Smith Jr., better known as Sugar Ray Robinson, was an American professional boxer who competed from 1940 to 1965. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990. He is often regarded as the greatest boxer in the history of the sport. Sugar Ray is Matty’s favorite boxer of all time.
